Exmouth
Exmouth, the
oldest resort in Devon ... sits at the mouth of the Exe River. There are a couple of miles
of sandy beach ... it's a great place to live and work ... Follow the Hyperlink on the contact page to link to an Expedia map of Exmouth, or click here to go to Exmouth-Guide
By Car:
If you are coming from London and the South East, You have the
choice of taking the M4 ... joining the M5 at Bristol ... or the A30/A303 (mostly dual
carriageway)
If you are coming from the North, the M5 will bring you
down from Birmingham and beyond.
By Rail: There are fast services to London
Paddington, Bristol and the North. There are (slower) connections to Waterloo and the
South East. A train connects Exeter to Exmouth every 30 mins during the day. It's a great
trip, especially the last bit where the track runs along side the estuary.
By Air: There are regular services from
several Uk destinations (though London is not one of them). Jersey European fly to the
major European cities (Via Birmingham). British Airways to a short hop to Paris from
Plymouth and Sabena fly to Brussels from Bristol. Both flights are just over an hour, and
Plymouth and Bristol Airports are about an hours drive from Exmouth.
There is a wide range of accommodation available ... from 4
star/crown hotels such as the Imperial and Devoncourt, to the B & B just across the
road. Prices are very reasonable ... when booking, please give us your requirements, we will send you some
options and make all of the arrangements.
Italian, Chinese, French, Mexican, Indian, Seafood, Great
Pubs, Good Old Fish and Chips. You may be hard pressed to find Sushi, but we know
the best places to go.
What to do ... if you have some free time ... here's just a
small sample ... tennis, sailing, fishing, cycling, windsurfing, walks, bird watching,
golf (Nigel Mansell's new course at Woodbury and the cliff-top course at Budleigh
Salterton are a 10 minute drive away). If you still have some energy, we will
sign you into a local gym as our guests.
We are firm believers in the benefits of
complementary/alternative therapies ... particularly after a heavy planning session. We
employ the services of a small team of qualified therapists who can offer massage,
reflexology and aromatherapy. We would be happy to arrange stress relieving sessions
during your stay.
